Formed in 1991 by Susan and Brazilian drummer Vanderlei Pereira, Sabor Brasil has established itself as one of the most popular Brazilian ensembles in the Greater New York City area. Featuring their debut album, Tudo Azul, Susan Pereira and Sabor Brasil will give their Rochester audience the chance to enjoy their beautiful fusion of traditional Brazilian styles with contemporary jazz. As the guiding energy behind Sabor Brasil, Susan Pereira is a superb vocalist, an accomplished pianist and percussionist; her compositions and arrangements draw on influences from samba, bossa nova, choro and Bahian rhythms.
