The seamus blake quartet

Seamus Blake (saxophonist) took first place in the 2002 Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. A long-standing member of the Grammy nominated Mingus Big Band; Seamus has been featured on the band’s last six albums. Exhibiting a “sinewy tone with shades of Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano, Michael Brecker, and other members of the post-Coltrane continuum”, Blake performs regularly with the combos of prominent leaders including John Scofield, Bill Stewart, Kevin Hays, Victor Lewis, Franco Ambrosetti, Billy Drummond and Darrell Grant.

David Kikoski (pianist) exhibits an innovative, creative and energetic style that sets him apart from most pianists. Early career engagements with Roy Haynes led to him becoming one of New York City’s busiest pianists; he has performed with Michael and Randy Brecker, Ron Carter, Al Foster, Buster Williams, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Victor Lewis, Tom Harrell among many others. David’s BeatleJazz CDs offer clear insight into his exciting melodic and harmonic expressions.

Orlando Le Fleming (bassist) established himself as one of the UK's prominent bassists performing with Jason Rebello, Julian Joseph, Tommy Smith, Jean Toussaint and Guy Barker. Faultless bass playing kept him in demand with visiting U.S. musicians including Bill Charlap, Don Braden, Dave Liebman, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Joey Calderazzo and Branford Marsalis. Now based in New York City, Orlando tours with Billy Cobham's "The Art of Five" and is a regular member of Jane Monheit's band.

Jordan Perlson (drummer) began studying with the famed Joe Morello prior to attending the Berklee School of Music. He has performed with Pat Metheny, Gary Burton, Chris Potter, Greg Osby, Henry Hey, Donny McCaslin, Chris Cheek, and many others. For the last year, Jordan has been a band member for the famed Off-Broadway show “Blue Man Group”. While his drum presence provides a strong rhythmic backbone, he leaves plenty of space for others to work within.
